Hi there, im having difficulties with finding the correct front brake leaver for my honda cg 125 '2001 its a strange model because the gearbox is upside down -neutral is on the top. so far i have heard 4 different things about this model. 1 its the model made in japan the only model with revs?? 2. it`s a hongdu chinese copy 3 it has been imported by david silver and is under licence bot not quite honda? 4 its the honda model for the chinese.. it all just looks confusing so if anyone knows pls help. I have bought a leaver from ebay that looked same already but i didnt fit. im including some pictures thankss

looks like a late 70s cg125.

i would suggest taking the old leaver (and all it parts if broken) to a local stockest of aftermarket replacment leavers and seeing if they can match it to anything they have on the shelve

You could always just 'leave' the 'leavers' and look for some LEVERS.

I had one of these, I believe it's a Japanese domestic market CG125 as the Japanese did not like the styling of the Brazilian built CGs and are also quite patriotic, so Honda continued CG production in Japan for ages after making the move to Brazil for all the 'export' bikes. There was a couple of containers full of them imported over here in the late 90s. On the frame there will be a 'Honda - made in Japan' plate, it's not a copy.

Parts are interesting to find as the gearbox is a four speed from a C90 and has a heal/toe shifter, kick-start only, also the clocks should be in km/h. As for finding levers I'd have thought there would be a few being broken as they are quite common. There is a specific model designation for them, although I have now forgotten what it is Smile
