Ive used them for a few bits myself over the years as well.....in fact i actually just bought myself a new helmet from them today come to mention it. Lol but yeah, theres not much to say other than they always seem to be the cheapest for the bits i want and their customer service is amazing in my experiences with them as well.

I've bought quite a few bits off them over the past two years. I ordered a 1.5m chain and they rang me to say that it was out of stock and would I mind 2m for the same price. Good job too, as my ground anchor is a bit too close to the wall for 1.5m to easily reach through the frame of the bike.
In short - Ghost bikes are great and my first port of call when online shopping for gear.

We buy the same stock as they do, but get told if we sell it below RRP then its "devaluing" their products, so as such suppliers will stop supplying to us. Good service sure, but thats why the local shops have to advertise everything at a higher price but can usually be haggled with on price to put it inline with the online prices.

Yes this is the same reason sports direct could not buy blacks, north face blocked it because of damage and devalue to the brand

To be fair, its a lot easier, I'm at work and finish when everthing closes, so I can just have it delivered to work next day, so it's convenient.

Also, a lot of people don't feel comfortable with haggling, not really British culture, more India or Thailand, them sorts of places where it's rude not to.

Talking about prices in the current climate, if someone is selling something for £1.00 but another shop is selling for £0.98 you're going to go for the latter, because we're all suckers, so what's the point in haggling when you don't have to?

They are impressive. I ordered some Weise gloves from them 2 years ago. Recently they developed a hole at the seam. Contacted them, they got in touch with Weise who confirmed they will replace the gloves through Ghostbikes despite being out of warranty (by a month) as it was a 'manufacturing issue'.

They sent me a free returns print out thing and have let me order my new gloves (which I spent a bit more on - Alpinestars SP-8) and said I can wait until I receive them before sending the broken gloves back so I'm not without.

I also found a 5% discount code online earlier. Emailed them to ask if they can apply it to my order that has already gone through. They emailed back within a few minutes and said they can either throw something in worth the money I would have got off, or they will refund the discount, so I went for a free balaclava Smile

Very impressed with their service.

I dont agree. RRP is recommended retail price. Key word is Recommended.

As for how they get away with it, its simple. No overheads compared to a retail outlet. All they have to pay for is a storage area and advertising, postage and minimum staffing. Retail establisments have so much more to pay out, council tax, electricity, water (on site toilets etc), staff wages, ground rent, etc.

That is the sole reason why online is cheaper than retail outlets.

Extract from Ghostbikes website below:-

For any customers who prefer an in-store experience we have a showroom in Preston, Lancashire where you can see our entire product range and our trained staff will be happy to help fit you with the correct size garments or offer recommendations. For the benefit of all our customers we have a team of customer service agents available seven days a week including bank holidays; ready to help you with your orders and offer advice.

Like most retailers seems like they dabble in online sales as well as traditional retail. Like most motorbike retailers.
