Squeaky Brakes.

Hello,

Had a trawl through old posts, found some but they are mainly to do with disc brakes and don't cover drum brakes.

I am getting a loud squeak when moving slowly, braking sharper seems to cut this out and it only really happens on the front wheel.

Any suggestions? Is it worth changing the shoes or is it just something to put up with on drum brakes?

try taking out the old shoes, give them a clean, re-grease the push plates and the shoes with coppergrease etc..then put them back, should solve the problem

Yep, usually just a build up of dust in the brake drum.

Clean the crap out, check for leaks, check condition of the shoes and if they are worn or glazed replace them. If the hub is glazed ruff it up a bit
