Bike : MTX125 RW-L 1991

Im having a slight issue with my MTX and im sure theres plenty of mechanical guru's on here willing to give me some advice!

Soon as i start my bike ,and ride she pulls hard and is very responsive, as soon as ive been riding for around 10 minutes the engine is hot and seems to be slower/less responsive, im not expecting it to be rapid but it does certainly have a loss in power after it gets hot, if anyone has any ideas on what this could be please let me know!

Thankyou for reading!

Thumbs Up

Check the setting on the oil pump.

It could be that it isn't providing enough oil.

Also check the coolant level, and make sure it is circulating as it should do.

It sounds like it's starting to seize, so not enough oil or it's just shagged.

Your engine could be suffering from a leaking bottom end. If the crank seals or the cases aren't sealing correctly then the engine will draw in excess air and tend to run lean. This condition will tend to show up more when the engine heats up and the different mating surfaces expand and minutely separate.
Next time that the condition occurs, chop the engine and check the colour/condition of the plug.
