A probably run down council tower block in Tottenham called 'Pagin House', named in honour of my great grandfather councillor/alderman/Freeman of the borough of Tottenham, Mr John James Pagin, in recognition of his tireless work for the poor and unemployed of the borough.

My dads denim CB jacket or the toolbox that he made me for my 1st birthday. They are the two major things.

Most treasured object would be myself. I have a brain able to comprehend and appreciate the universe we live in. I feel lucky to have the opportunity to do so.

I would never part with the Badger, I have made or altered every part of that bike but I am not sure if I treasure it. What I do treasure is the cards and gifts I get from kids I have taught, I have a shelf full of them and could not conceive of ever chucking one into the bin.

This

https://img818.imageshack.us/img818/2978/hh8w.jpg

Nothing special, 9ct gold, tiny chip of a diamond.

As a very small child, I remember it sitting in a box in my Dad's wardrobe, but it was too small for him; I pestered him on a regular basis to let me have it, but he never would, then about 15 years ago, he had it altered and started wearing it.

The significance is, it belonged to his Dad, who was a serious character, but I never met, because he died shortly before I was born.

Three years ago on Thursday, I inherited it, so it's my physical connection between my Dad and the Grandfather I never knew.

Very happy.
I should think it's like getting a favourite bike back.

Day to day has got the be the bike. Senitmental value - a weird shaped stone i picked up on holiday at the most westerly point of ireland as a little kid, then proceeded to take on all further holidays for many years and has gained some sort of deep value now Rolling Eyes irritantingly irrational - but i do value that little rock Laughing

The only thing I can think of is my 'time capsule' that I sealed about 10 years ago now. It's a large box that is filled with toys from my childhood and other items which provide fond memories of my upbringing. I'll give it until I'm 50 until I open it - another 20 years away. I will have to open it at some point simply to replenish the silica gel though. Hmm. Will do it blindfolded perhaps.

I have a small piece of goat horn thats been carved that sits around my neck. I have had it since 1996 and its only been off to change the leather thong when it wears out. I would say this.

Other than the wife, probably the only thing I'd be upset about if I were to lose it.

I can honestly say that I don't give a flying toss about any of my possessions.

I have a few things that I`d be mildly miffed if I lost them , but if I had to chose between them and my wellbeing , they lose every time.

And no you cant have my bikes! Laughing

My daughter.

I've just let her go.
She's off, winging her way to China, Vietnam, NZ at this very second.

And I thought cutting the "leaving home to live with a boyfriend/have a job/be an adult" apron strings was hard ...

Fuck me, I've not cried so pitifully in years as I have these last three hours (days) (weeks).

Thank goodness Bruno has broad shoulders to cry on Cool

Possessions, while nice to have, mean nothing to me these days.
I once "left home" with a laptop, a bag of clothes, my daughter and my bike. I put everything else into "temporary storage" which the local council later took upon itself to throw out, leaving me with nothing of any sentimental value whatsoever.

The only thing which has lasted the 51 years it has been on this earth with me is my teddy bear, Polar. I nearly had a conniption when I thought he had been in the stuff in council storage. Luckily he was at my mother's house in NZ.

He's not all that well preserved. He was looking considerably scummier than that, but my mother redeemed herself slightly by giving him a makeover for my 50th birthday (his 49th, LOL)

Doh!
How could I forget Growler.
He's as old as me and also likes bikes.

He still growls when you tip him up, but lost a bell from one ear in the Punk wars of '78.

Thumbs Up quality Smile

Sadly my bear was executed along with Action Man in the air-rifle ownership era of the early 70`s Smile
