I keep looking at them. Just wondering on how much room there is inside them for knuckle guards and the like. I want them for my Varadero 1000.

Cant really show you inside because its dark and all that but heres outside with my summer gloves on to give some idea of the size we are working with. My glove size is medium and I have my hands roughy where the bar would be if they were fitted on the bike.

I guess it would be down to how they are fitted to the bars.

Just remove the hand guards. Not needed with muffs.

I rode with no gloves through a snow storm with a foot of snow on the floor. Still toasty. Laughing

I like my hand guards on the bike.

The bigger (non neoprene) ones would do ok over handguards.

However, the cheap ones also don't suffer from their primary serious flaw of hitting the levers if you have hand guards, so consider those too.

They won't be as cosy as the big tuccano's, but aren't too bad, especially when used with heated grips too.

Just need to refit mine in the next few days, makes commuting in winter a little more bearable. Must see about getting some heated grips too.

Does anyone actually bother with the fiddly cable tie and plastic donut thing around the grip to stop the muffs from coming off?

I did initially. I removed the muffs and wish I put the plastic clip and cable tie back on as they kinda work their way off whilst riding, which pushes the bar end bit off.

Yes. I was just out at lunchtime cutting the cable ties and refitting the muffs on the correct sides using the spare pair of cable ties that I'd cunningly stored on the bike.

Just took a couple of minutes per side, on my 2nd go, not that fiddly if you tease the muff right open to get full access oh I just came.

I just reattach them occasionally.
But I did find they would sometimes pull out the (rubber mounted) bar end on the GSXR too.

Fair enough. I think I've lost the plastic clips it came with now.. will probably still use them though when it gets colder.

I thought mine came with just cable ties?

I did consider using them a few times when it was getting daily use and wasn't being leant out to others.

The R361s I just got have a two piece disk that goes on the inside of the inner hole (along with a sealer disk) and cable ties tight to clamp on the grip and hold that side in place.

Really though, you could do the same just by bodging something up by raw cable tying the hole end firmly to the oh I came again.

Oh yea - I think the discs were for smaller bar ends?

GSXR has chunky ones, so didn't need them.

Got them fitted and they do take a little getting used to with the indicators being on the outside of the glove thing but they can be used ok.

Initial thoughts. At 50mph in the wind on the way home from the shop I might as well have left my gloves at home. No wind, no cold. Nothing was felt through the muffs. Well worth fitting even though I get chey comments from my mates.

I take it they're not just Neoprene, what else is there? A foil layer?

dunno whats between the layers but theres a soft fake fur type layer on the inside which adds to the warmth.
