Hi folks,

Anyone used Motorbikes4all in Malvern?

Stock list looks to me like a row of fairly honest, used (not gargae queens) bikes at realistic prices - generally real world stuff. God knows that's what my trade-in would come under!

There's several bikes there I like the look of, but it's a fair ride away for me so thought I'd ask for comments before hitting the road...

Industrial unit address.
No Landline only mobile contact number.
'4' in the name.

I would rather buy private.

As point for anyone thinking of naming a business I would not use anywhere that uses text speak in their name, '4', 'U' pluralisation with a 'Z' etc.

Except Toys R Us Laughing

Been there a few times actually and to be fair they seem decent enough, the bikes are priced quite well as they do turn over as opposed to sitting on stock for ever and a day, but you have to remember they are realistically priced, and the bikes aren't going to be mint examples.

I've looked at few of their bikes, they do a full service on them as well, generally well looked after bikes but they're not minters.

They were going to let me to take an MV Agusta out mid winter Thumbs Up

As per Chris, I wouldn't use a company with a "4", "U", "R", etc. in their name INCLUDING Toys'R'Us. Have you seen the shoddy shite they sell?

I'd also avoid anyone using superlatives such as "Elite", "Supreme", etc. in the company name.

Yes!

I have used them - bought my current bike from them (TDM 850).

I called them up, asked for a test ride on a bike I saw on their site. They said no problem. I rocked up, bike was all ready, took it for a spin for about half hour, haggled a bit on the price and did the deal.

They did a service on it before I picked it up too. I know they definitely changed the oil, but obviously I can't prove they did much else. No reason to doubt they did air filter/spark plugs etc. too though.

Had no problems with the bike and they seemed honest to me.

I'd recommend anyway.

The only test that really counts is when you're sold a lemon (either deliberately or accidentally) and they act correctly.

decent folk to talk to and quite alot of bikes. only reason that stopped me buying from them was 9/10 you can buy a cheaper/better bike private, which is true for all dealers tbh.

I know this, but can't be bothered with hassle of travelling about all different places and then trying to sell my bike on privately, too (not to mention double insurance and all that). I work 5.5 or 6 days a week as well, with only half hour lunch, always including Saturdays... it makes buying a PITA.

I'm quite happy to pay more and just get it all done at the same time and place these days.

Certainly sounds like this lot'll be worth the ride, thanks guys.

where are you from?

i'd give them a call before you go as they're opening times are abit lax. they allso left me alone and gave me space to look the bike over, dare say i could of half striped the bike before they noticed.

Near Carmarthen; it's a 2 hour ride Smile

Looks like tomorrow (day off this week! Yay!) is filling up with all the stuff I haven't done in the last 3 weeks of 6 days/week though (booo), so new bike recce may have to wait again (or I'll run down JTs in Swansea where they've got several of the same bikes at twice the price...)

The mechanic there is a good friend of mine. I've also helped out in the workshop a few times when they have been overloaded with work.

Warwick (the boss) strikes me as someone who wants to build a good rep, and in my experiance any problems with bikes are put right as quickly as possible.

Hope that helps.
Thumbs Up

This ^ I looked at a VFR they had there and it was due a big service and they said they would take care of it, valves etc.

Similar with the MV Agusta F4 they had, they would let it go out only after they had replaced the tyres.

Genuinely nice guys, and they will drag any bike out for you to look at and will tell you all the faults, even with the VFR he said, the digi dash had died, it was replaced with one in KM, all the mileage was recorded and they had the service history to prove the exact/correct mileage, I admire that honesty purely because most dealers wouldn't tell you, or shrug it off.
