The rear tyre is, I think, a fabled marmite thing. It does it for me though - and the front ain't exactly slim either. However, the extra friction of all that rubber flattened on to the tarmac really holds the bike back. Still, they seem quite well planted for a 125 - and are as stable as other stuff for slow riding. For green lane type shenanigans I think they kind of suck though - of course, they're fiendishly slow and determinedly gutless. Worse still though, whilst they do have a bit of 'extra' clearance, that one feature of the bike that might help in some sort of off road context is once again cancelled out by the tyres. They're great on a dry lane - giving a bit of extra suspension. But on mud you're fucked, cos they're way too fat to cut into it - and so just sit on top, sliding around. Despite all that I heart vanvans and think suzuki did really well to create something so distinctive and sweet out of the parts bin. It'd be good if Yamaha would bring more TW200s over here - not sure if they're still made, but I'd take one over the Skyteam V-Raptor (or Chinese 250cc VanVan i.e.) any day. ____________________ "Life is a sexually transmitted disease and the mortality rate is one hundred percent."
