Bandit - throttle response not smooth

I've got a Bandit 600Y, about 40,000 miles on the clock and just been serviced. It's generally running well, but since the service I've noticed that if I open the throttle quickly (i.e. overtaking or accelerating out of a 30mph zone), the response isn't as smooth as it has been in the past.

It will start to accelerate, then sometimes hesitate for half a second before smoothly building revs and accelerating away. The hesitation feels the same as if it is running our of fuel. As far as I can tell it doesn't seem to be happening at any particular level of revs.

Any thoughts on what might be causing this? It isn't a major problem, but if I'm trying to overtake it would be nice to know that the bike will go when I twist the throttle!

My guess is that a fresh air filters highlighted an already present issue with a slightly blocked jet

Remove and check and clean out carbs, refit and balance, issue probably gone.

Thanks both. That sounds like something I can't fix with a hammer in 10 minutes, so back to the garage once I've got some money!
