All season (mostly spring-autumn) jacket/trousers for newbie

I am preparing for my DAS by window shopping for a bike and gear on the web Smile

I've bought a helmet and boots already. I suspect the boots are summer boots but if it gets too cold I will couple them with my neoprene lined cycling socks and see how i get on. I will be riding in fair weather (cold is fine - but i won't intentionally ride in the rain) for pleasure as opposed to a regular commute.

Can anyone recommend me a good all season jacket/trouser combo? Should I go for leather or textile? I don't want to spend more than necessary but equally I don't want to cut too many corners such that I end up buying replacement gear after 1 year.

If it matters, the bikes i am considering are the ducati monster, cbr600f and cbr600rr (need to sit on them etc).

Oh and remember - this is a mid life crisis. Looks matter! Smile

I had a black jacket already so bought them on their own, but they look smart enough and for £80 I was told you can't go wrong with them.
