Hi,
I bought this jacket back in June and I loved it.

However I had to ride in a the rain for 10 minutes last week and the arms got soaked through and took 2 days to dry out?

This cant be right surely! has anybody had the same experience with these and can I either get it replaced despite it being 3 months old or waterproof it myself?

Had the same problem with mine. Had the jacket for ages before I got caught in the rain so never bothered taking it back.

I quite like the jacket so I just put a thin waterproof jacket over the top, which I keep in that lovely big pocket at the back.

I think the Raptor model is known for leaking so you shouldn't have any problem changing it. See link below.

It's predecessor, the Rift jacket, also leaked water and held it like a sponge. Ditto waterproof overjackets. Their advertising should state "mildly showerproof", but I don't think that would sell too well.

I have the RST Enduro with a "SINAQUA" layer, as opposed to your "REISSA" membrane. It was pretty water resistant for about a year and then that was it, and no amount of wash in or spray on proofing recovered it. Wet elbows after just a few minutes.

If it doesn't say Goretex, it's not Goretex, might be the lesson.

In your case, since you're under 6 months, that's a return. The onus is currently on them to show that's not a manufacturing defect.

My RST Rift has stayed waterproof in all but torrential rain but it slowly fell apart from the first year onwards, patched it and sewn it up many times especially on the seams, Rift pants are the same, will not buy RST stuff again.
I just won a Weise Xblade 2 jacket for £38 on eBay brand new from a company down the road so we will see how this goes.

I have noticed the zip seems a bt fragile for a jacket costing £150.

Next time, take a big bag of shush with you Gagged.

It's none of your concern what the retailer has done with it, or claims to have done with it. You claim is against them, and it's their responsibility to ensure that you get a waterproof jacket in a reasonably short period of time.
