Hello!

Wondering if anyone could help me please and let me know how much a fuel leak would approx cost to be repaired in a garage?

I only discovered it today and the bike still runs fine so it can't be TOO bad, it does however explain why I had to refuel so soon after my last one. (Usually I fill up once a month I've filled up twice in October already but that does include a 100 mile round trip.)

My mechanical knowledge is piss poor, the most I have done is an oil change and even that didn't go well. If anyone could also point me in the direction of trusted garages in Brighton I'd be very appreciative. I've only just moved to the area for Uni, I am also female and don't want garages to try bump me off or anything!

Thanks
Thumbs Up

Oh, and it's a YBR 125 2005 Smile

compared to your bike and yourself getting on fire due to petrol landing on exhaust, whatever it is, its cheap!

Depends on whats leaking, could be tank, pipe, or just a clip needs tightening.

What exactly did you discover?

If you're in any doubt about where it's leaking, clean if off and chuck some talc on the area to help spot the actual site.

Hey,

I was reaching down to turn off the choke and something dripped on my finger, it was a miserable day so I assumed it was rain and I wiped it off. Then I thought about it a bit and sniffed my finger and yep! petrol.

It was from this like mini box thing that connected to a tube right near the choke. I'm sorry for my lack of description haha

Got a picture? That could be a fuel filter, either OEM or add-on. It might just need the fuel hose re-seated.

Come on BCF, damsel in distress.
