ybr 125 alternator

Hi,

So I've had some problems before on my bike and have subsequently replaced the spark plug and battery. However now I am finding that my battery is not charging when I rev the engine which seems to indicate that my charging system is not working (Alternator I guess?). Any ideas what is the usual charge for fixing this at a mechanic for a YBR 125 2005? I have read that it can get quite involved to change myself, is that true? Kinda wanna ride the bike for more hours than I have to fix it.

Wanted to hear some opinions from people.

so, with engine running at idle and lights on pointing at a close wall, do the headlight grow brighter when the engine is revved to say 4 k revs????

no, then you got problems.......get a multimeter and wiring diagram, check for bad /corroded conections on the charging system wires and from the reg/rec to the battery............

goto cmsnl for the exploded views, you should be able to suss out whats involved with changing the genny......post the exploded view on here as its your bike and i shouldnt have to go and find it for you etc........i'm lazy and its your bike......... :karma: :D also get a manual

more than likely the regulator/rectifier but as said if you want a more educated guess wiring diagram and multimeter are a must
