Hello everyone.

My RS125 has had a loss in power from acceleration to top end speed and when I reach about 5000 rpm it started making a strange noise, like it's trying to reach maximum power but it simply can't. My thoughts are it's the carb needs re-adjusting but I just wanted to double check, so could anyone possibely help me out?

a pic of the bike would be nice........its a two stroke so blocked exhaust is a possibility, unless of course this loss of power happened over night.........

whats the noise like???????

and how is it other than the loss of power???

The bike is fine other than the loss of power although recently when in neutral at the lights my bike has been staying at 3000 rpm when normally it was 1,500 rpm.

It's a standard 2001 model with a full arrow system and a CDI destriction.

The noise is like it's straining, it's hard to explain. One way to put it is it sounds more like a moped.

3k revs when it used to do 1 and a bit.....air leak?? fuel starvation??

how is plug colour?? pics pics pics...........

i take it the end of the exhaust doesnt "fizz" when engine is revved??

top end rebuild time, also check the power valve is functioning as intended

It had a top end rebuild done not long ago, is there any other problem it could be?

Can't do them pictures yet I'm at work, sorry mate.
