so ive finally been on the road for 1 year and since i cant afford test and a bigger bike yet, im keeping my current bike and decided to renew my current bike, with the same people and well annoyingly they still ask for a deposite for an existing customer.

question is, do you guys find it annoying to have to pay a deposit on the insurance with your bikes even though you are renewing with the same people.

silly question but hey thought i would ask.

my bike is a TZR125 and my policy is with Ebike

What deposit????

Pau in full... Never pay monthly. All you are doing is taking out a loan to pay the ins co in full. While you pay the loan co a nice % of interest.

As above i'd never pay monthly personally.

Also its always worth doing a few quotes, even if you know the insurer you're with is cheapest, often a new quote is cheaper than a renewal one they've sent you, as they rely on people being lazy and not bothering to check in order to keep the premium 'inflated'.

I'd never pay monthly , miss a payment & the policy could be cancelled also if you forget to have cash in the bank for the dd the bank will charge you £6 a day or at least mine would .
It always costs more paying it up .

My boy will be 17 in a few months & it looks like his insurance will be about £370 which i'll pay in one go & he can work for me to pay it off .

it's not entirely a deposit, it's a first payment and it's part of the insurance cost which is why you don't get it back at the end of the term of insurance in the same way you would at the end of a rental period for example.

This is why you have to pay it again.

That's the way I understand it anyways.
