Guys,
I've been given 12 months notice by my friendly MOT examiner that I'm going to need a new rear damper on my T300 Sprint, as the damping action is starting to diminish, and he's slapped an advisory on it.
A new rear suspension unit from Triumph (including spring) is £732, so that is NOT an option!
I'm loathe to send it off for a rebuild, as i've heard stories of companies trying to stuff people for damper rods, in order to extract more money (which I haven't got, being a student).
However, the college I am at runs a motorsport course. Having spoken to the course director, if I can find out the manufacturer and model of the unit, then he can order in the relevant seals and bits and change the oil for about £40 (which sounds much better).
Any ideas who supplied them to Triumph?
Thanks,
