Hello,

I'm building a Kawasaki ZX6R 1996 from scratch. Basically I've sourced the majority of the parts but a few remain.

One being bolts etc, I want to replace every one. But it's becoming a headache finding the sizes etc.

I did try a Kawasaki parts site online but only have the general size not the length of the bolts. Does anyone know a site which would give me clearer info?

I've also tried a Haynes manual but there is not a lot of info regarding this.

Have you tried any of the microfiche sites??

I have found the Honda ones clearer than the kawasaki ones, but I think there might be some info you need on them if you can make them out.

I've tried a site like the second one suggested. I'm just not sure when it just says nut? How does that help?

Microfiche? Never looked at that before.

IIRC various suppliers of stainless fastenings put together a collection for specific bikes. Try looking on eBay for a start.

For any other specific fixings I'd be asking owners direct or on owners forums such as ZXRForums.com (clicky link).

What happened to the original bolts/nuts? If you still have them but for whatever reason don't want to use them, measure them up and order replacements from a fasteners place.

Some things will be kwak specific and will need to be bought from kawasaki, or bought second hand and cleaned up/zinc coated etc.

If it were me, and I had all the parts of a bike, but none of the bolts... I'd ask a breaker for the left overs of the same model bike he has just broken, most of the bolts etc will just get weighed in as scrap.
