Afternoon all. Back living at home from uni and got my good old dial up connection on the grind again.

Just wondered if anyone can tell me if the standard windows xp internet firewall is good enough to stop computer been messed with. Also is there any free software i can download thats good for spotting a virus or those trackers things. Haven't currently got any virus software and student loan is spent so can't see me getting one Sad

Standard XP firewall is shité.

Firewalls arn't essential, good spyware cleanup and antivirus are more important. i recommend AVG which does both.

firewall can stop stuff spreading, but alot of worms etc find ways around them.
