Hey Londoners, I once visited the Tea hut in Blackheath one night, thinking it would be totally empty and my god there was about 40 motorbikes parked up on the side, I had my 125 so I was embarressed to park up next to the Hayabusas and what'not, anyone else seen these meets, I wonder if it's even a BCF thing!

Definitely would join in once I pass my test and become a dedicated biker!

If someone didn't 'accept' me because I was on a 125 I wouldn't want to be involved with them when I was on a bigger bike!

Haha, it wasn't that they didn't accept me, I just felt I'd rather go back to my friends (was with my brother on a chinese moped me on a ybr125) when we have better bikes we will go, we just felt a little embarressed and we were just killing time for our friend to finish work Wink

You'll find them there on Wednesdays. I don't know why you felt somehow inadequate about the l-plates, there's usually a few about.

Is it a club, or did it just start with a few bikers at a hut? Any history behind the meets :p?

So you`re on a 125? and you have L-plates? , so that means you`re not a dedicated biker?
You are a biker if you want to be one .
Do you enjoy your bike?
Are you interested in bikes?
If the answer to the questions is yes , the chances are you are a biker? whatever one of those are?

L-platers are the next generation of bikers and without them , this interest we share would slowly die as the current generation of bikers fade away.

If big boys on big bikes look down their noses when you turn up , tell them to "F*ck off" and call them a twat!

Not sure but people on www.londonbikers.com/forums use that location a lot I believe. Sign up to their forum and get involved.

Is it still a requirement to have expensive race bikes and gear yet drive really really slowly and badly to be a member there?

I did suspect that might have been the case.... I never joined their meets, I just 'use' their forum for buying & selling stuff. I have about as much desire to mingle with that lot as I do the sensible simons on forums.sv650.org.
