I am now as weak as the rest of you mincing, manbag-toting metrosexuals.

After nearly ten years on the wagon (so to speak), I bought a car.

I disgust myself.

I've been on the road since July 1985 and have never so much as taken a single driving lesson. So don't include me with your metrosexual, handbag toting, car driving bastards.

As you wish. Your proclivity for teenager's bikes meant I always had you marked down as a pederast, anyway.

Should've bought a white van, not a car.

Added bonus of being able to move recently purchased motorcycles about in them.

It is the utter shame that gets you! The realisation that you are now condemned to that box on wheels and like everyone else on the road. Being a denizen of London a car is a useless purchase when it can't be driven between the hours of 8am-7pm on various routes and a bike is the only way to go on all fronts.

You'll regret it. Wink

Still need to do my car test again.

Had I not failed my car test (piss-taker examiner) I would have never got into biking. (In which I passed all requirements first time).

Funny how it works eh? When I get my car licence it will be just to have it.

I've got a car but I hardly ever use it.

I can't stand sitting in traffic queues.

My last one rotted away on the drive. The prospect of queuing in traffic put me off using it.

Has anyone else found themselves nodding to bikers from the car, and then thinking "rude bastard" when they don't nod back?

Yes, I also have 'filtering thoughts' when i'm in the car too. As the traffic slows I start thinking, 'lets get close to the center of the road and set this up, oh hold on i've got 3 too many seats'.

Yes but usually when I'm driving a bus. Hardly ever drive a car these days. Hate what I used to once love. All about 2 wheels from this moment forward for me. The Mrs still has a car and I will use it when necessary but I can't see me ever putting my name to one again. I only ride a 50 for the time being but by God is it a great laugh...........
