Friend of mine is in Portsmouth (Gosport) on a yacht and she says it is quiet but Brighton is being battered.

I had to hammer the felt back down on to the roof of my shed this afternoon... that was before the great storm of 2013!

I'm in Lincolnshire, on the top end of where this thing is supposed to breeze through. So I will just have to wait and see what I get.

Few hours to go yet for it reaching Reading - all is well.

Just been to the airfield (15 miles south) where it is absolutely pissing down. Shifted one of the microlights and added extra tiedowns to the others, just in case the forecast is accurate. Don't want them fucking off over the fence. Confused

Conditions are very similar to 87 with saturated ground and many trees still in full leaf. The leaves give a large surface area an the roots have little hold in wet soil. 15000000 trees came down in 87.

Just got back from Wimbledon stock cars, light but steady rain since about 6.30 and starting to get a bit breezy.

The point that you are used to it is the exact reason it isn't a problem. But god damn you like to go on about it when it's a bit hot.

It is absurd weather for the south of England, so it's something to talk about.

I was in Milton Keynes in 87 and cycled 8 miles to work without touching the pedals. When I got there I had to go around two left corners onto a trading estate making me face the wind and I had to get off and push.

I've put my bike in my mates garage, more for the persistent heavy rain playing havoc with the electrics than anything else.

I'm north of Manchester so expecting to only feel the edge of it, although we do have a weather warning of high winds and rain.

Wotcha.

Been out on the trike today - no problems riding around the Severn Valley . . . . . just got back from the pub, a bit of rain, but the wind, if anything, has died down. Calm before the storm ?

This is some poo-dash "storm", man.
So far we only have rain, which is more sucky than blowy.

Disappointed of E16 Evil or Very Mad
