Yesterday I did discover that some cock has gone and stolen the right hand mirror from my bike. WHY WOULD SOMEONE STEAL JUST ONE MIRROR. Evil or Very Mad

I don't even think I've seen any other CBFs around this area, so I doubt anyone has taken it for their own bike. Really annoying. Ah well. Rant over Sad

if it has a 10mm thread and fits on the handlebar it will actually fit a lot of other bikes not just a cbf

except for a yamaha, which has a left hand thread on the right mirror

Look on the bright side.
they could of nicked the whole bike , took the bits they needed and then set fire to the rest Crying or Very sad .

And yes, they are wankers!

I don't think they were stock mirrors, the actual mirrors screwed into another screw which then screwed into the bars (10 points if that makes any sense at all). Then again, they could be completely normal and my noobiness just came through.

Yeah, I tend to chain it up if I'm gonna be inside for longer than 10 minutes. I think it was nicked within a 30 min time frame which is slightly even more annoying

If someone can just take a mirror, what else could they do? Confused
What is someone comes along with a spanner and un-screws the brake lines or something?

Could happen. Generally worth making sure your brakes work before you actually need them to.

I'm always amused by people who fit those quick-adjust doobries on their suspension, that's just asking for a passing oik to twiddle it.

This one time I parked up and someone flicked my kill-switch to "off". I had to sell the bike as a non-runner. Some people have no respect for other people's property.

A little off topic but; when i was a student there were two things kept in our garden. My bike (chained to an anchor point) and a shopping trolley which we used to walk our shopping back from the supermarket.
The trolley had one of those little chains which you plug back in to release the £1coin.

Anyway, one night some theiving bastards cut the chain on our gate and had a go at the bike chain with bolt cutters. Not being able to defeat it, they instead snipped the little chain on the trolley handle, re-inserted it and got away with the princely sum of £1!

We lol-ed at thier expense right until their freinds smashed a window and took our xBox a few months later...

Anyway sorry to hear about this - being the victim of this kind of thing sucks for sure.
