My brother's wedding in May next year.

Any ideas for a decent stag do?

I have no idea yet how many guys will be attending.

15 of us hired a canal boat and annihilated Bath for 3 nights earlier this year. Absolute carnage Laughing

We went to Spain for a week and did the bull run in Pamplona for mine. It was awesome even though I'm soon to be divorced.

A mate of mine hired a river cruiser on the Norfolk broads for a stag, got wrecked and crashed it in to a marina within 2 hours!

I'm liking the maritime suggestions.

My brother is ex RN and so are a number of the guys (hopefully) coming along.

Somehow I think hiring a boat as a stand alone event wouldn't be enough though.

All day?

Stuff to do in the day?

Usual motorsports stuff - karting, quads, minimotos. Clay pigeon shooting, hovercrafts, paintball, etc.
Evening - depends on the people. Foreign countries may mean people let themselves go a bit more. Consider a theme - fancy dress, etc if appropriate (also makes it easier to recognise people in your group!)

I think it will be UK based to be honest. Not necessarily my choice, but I have to accommodate everyone.

Has anyone been coasteering?

I've been gorge walking, which is similar but inland. Mental fun even though I'd had about two hours sleep. Didn't realise what it actually was until the first thing we got told to do was 'jump in that river'.

Probably not suited to the older gent in truth...

Did one in Krakow which was fun, dont visit Auschwitz though as it puts a damper on the group, till the beer starts flowing at least. Was a good weekend, not too mental, no strip clubs or knocking shops, gun shooting and other activities available.

Did Blackpool a couple of years ago, was not too impressed.

If you're doing something fairly physical, do be aware of the fitness levels of all the particpants.

A previous boss of mine went on a stag do which involved mountain biking.
Now, I suspect it's the sort of thing I'd be fine with - and even if it wasn't an activity I was ok at, I can still generally do strenuous stuff and keep going in the evening.
My boss, who was only averagly unfit and not overweight or another was in a group continually being left behind in the cycling, then was knackered in the evening.

Believe me,fitness didn't come into the coasteering we did. The ability to avoid drowning did though. The event involved a 50 yard swim to the first climb out then jump a couple of metres into the sea-easy. Swim another 10 metres, climb out and etc etc..... culminated with a 10 metre jump. My 11 y.o managed a 7 metre jump ok.The firm we went with was https://www.surf-lines.co.uk/ Still running,£50 per adult for half day. For that you get the use of wet suit/helmet/shorts! and a guide of course. Happy days.

+1 for karting. Love it. Before the mass boozeathon is preferable.

My brother was best man for his now best man just last month, and he organised go karting and paintballing for that stag do. So ideally I'd like to do something different, as would the other best man.

I'm wondering if the above sentence is at all coherent. Ah well.
