I am running a Suzuki GS550 that has Chien Shin C-199 Tyres fitted. They have the same tread pattern as the TT100.
I ran these in the pooring rain and did not feel overly secure with them. Pulling away from lights wheel spinning did nothing to assure me. So:

* Does anyone have any experience of these.
* Are they any good ?
* If not what would be a better tyre.

Look forward to hearing something.

I run Heidenau tyres on my GS650, and I rate them. Rode through a couple of torrential downpours on them while they were still new with no issues. You can get them through WeMoto pretty cheap. The Chen Shin tyres are often mentioned favourably by Americans in my experience, but there's never much talk about their performance in the wet.

I once ran a bike with Chen Shin tyres (AKA Teflon tyres) and skated all over the road on them. Soon got them changed.
Having a similar tread pattern as TT100 tyres means nothing. Its all about suitable rubber compounds in the right places in the tyres. IE, softer for the sides of the tread and slightly harder for the top of the tread.
Personally I would invest in better tyres.

Chinky tyres are rubbish. Why spend good money on such rubber when superior tyres are not that much more.

For the GS I suggest these tyres https://www.fwr.co.uk/product/20/avon/Avon-Roadrider

The avons still spin up in the wet if you try hard enough...or did on the 550 katana anyhow! Have a look at Bridgestone BT45's as another alternative
