There are too many variables in your post.
Do you want comfort, facilities, showers, bar/pub on a campsite?
Food can be picked up en-route, or better still leave the stove/kettle/pan at home & stop off en-route at a café/pub/takeaway before you camp for the night and have the hot meal cooked for you, as I doubt you`ll never be more than a mile or 2 from civilisation in the UK where items can be acquired.
Satnavs are as varied as your budget and taste, with the addition of archies campings POI`s you`ll be able to find even the most out of the way official campsites in the UK & Europe, as for wild camping see above.
For a day or so camping is it necessary to carry back up chargers & Gizmo`s?? IMO your better off spending the money buying decent camping kit instead of gizmos. A good thermarest or exped mat with a good down or synth sleeping bag will make the nights sleep more enjoyable, & you`ll wake up looking forward to the days ride ahead & not soaked or freezing if you where using cheaper gear, if you and your buddies want to sit out on the campsite and chat even on a wet evening, consider buying a tarp, such as a quechua or DD XL something with at least a 3m x 3m foot print so that you can shelter & your not confined to shouting at each other from your tents

One way I liked touring was to have a few B&B pre-booked with easy mileage between them that then allowed us to follow the odd out of way road or stay in a place for a little longer than planned for.

We did do the mile munching tour with B&Bs a distance away, but that made things a bit pushed.

Camping each night is ok, but you really need to be a seasoned camper first and you still need to book places first.

We also did the stay at one place as a base and go out from there in all directions each day. This was fine up on the West coast of Scotland, but may be crap in other places.

Do your costings too as fuel is about 8 miles per litre and can soon mount up.

camping stuff?

You need to be a bit more specific about what you want and where you want to go?
How much money do you have for this trip?
How many of you going ?
How many miles do you want to cover each day?

Answer those questions and you will have a better idea of your targets and how you are able to achive them.

You already spoke of camping , so you know you are going to have to carry a tent & sleeping-bag.
Do you think people will provide a camp site and all the facilities and then not want to charge you for the use of it?....of course you will need to pay for camp site.

As people tell me ........ I`m now passing on to you .... Google is your friend!
