I've thought long & hard about this, but I think the time has come to sell my little Honda CBR 250 rr MC22.
She used to belong to my brother who I think bought it from BAT motorcycles when he was around 17yrs old (he's now 33).
My brother then sold it to a mate of his who subsequently had an accident (not recorded) on her & he stored it in a barn (for around 9 years?) until around 2-3 years ago when I thought I'd try & save her & bring her back to her former glory. The damage consisted of bent forks & damaged fairing panels.
I was going to get the frame professionally checked over, just for piece of mind, but I've not got around to doing this yet.
A rolling chassis came up on eBay, so I bought the chassis just for the forks. The spare chassis is included.
I have both V5c docs for the bikes & both are in my name. All HPI clear.
My intentions were to completely strip the bike & complete her in original Honda specification, but then I decided on a Marco Simoncelli race rep. To be honest I still can't make up my mind on which one to do.
When I rolled her into the garage I had another project on the go (which has now been completed), but I'm soon to be moving house to a property which has no garage Hence the thinking behind selling her.
Now it is a project & can not be ridden away. The engine fires up fine. I put fresh fuel in her when I first got her into the garage & fired her up no problem.
However, I stupidly left fuel in the carbs whilst she's been in the garage & it's gummed the carbs up. I'll soon be sending the carbs off to be sonic cleaned & balanced, so all should be good.
The brakes will need cleaning & bleeding & the bike in general needs a damn good de-grease & clean from general barn dust & grime. The original wheels are the white & red wheels. The black wheels are the wheels that came with the spare chassis.
Everything is here to complete the project. There is a side panel & pair of seat fairings up in the attic. The nose cone is there too, but I think that's past saving. I was going to get a Chinese replica from eBay, or try to find an original Honda fairing.

I'm not really sure what to ask as a selling price. I know good condition MC22's go for around the £1300 mark? So If I asked £900, considering there is a documented spare chassis with it. I don't really want to break it for parts, but I'm sure if you did, you'd get your money back & some.
Cheers,
