Hi! Please, do me a favour. Measure length from lowest point under your bike between wheels (under engine for ex.) to the ground. Write the name of bike and length in cm.
Thanks! Thumbs Up

I build chopper, so I'm curious how low I can lower it with out damage engine or else on ride.
I don't know if you have that kind of stuff in your country, but in my we have kind of "hills" on the road for not drive fast, they make you to lower your speed... hope you understand what I'm talking about.

It really depends on a few things, there are not too many custom/chopper owners on here (unless they are hideing Very Happy )

To be honest you'd be better to ask arround on www.ratbike.org - theres allot of choper owners/builders on there who will be able to give you advice on minimum heights and actually mashing a bike together Thumbs Up

The clearence you will need depends allot on the roads your going to be useing, americans dont have corners on their roads Razz so peg scrapeing is less of a big deal, the roads i'm on 60% of the time any less clearance then i have now would be downright dangerous not to mention annoying!

The lower your sitting the harder getting rround corners will be, get the ballence wrong and your bike will be a nightmare to ride!

I think the the lowest part of the engine on mine is something like 20/25cm ish

To Zero:

I just want to change angle of the front fork, so I don't think that it will be a big deference, but ofcourse I understand that bigger the angel harder to getting round corners, but design is evrything! Cool

i would suggest you take a measure to a local bike meet ( a short stick with marks on will be a good way to do it unnoticed) if you find a bike you like check the height
there are 100's of different styles best find the one you like
also check out custom magazines there are now shock absorbers which go really low when parked, high when riding

good luck

One foot is 12 inches, and an inch is 2.54cm.

All the best
