hi

my viewing glass was always clear but recently has misted up on the inside. i cant even open the screw thing (dipsticky bit) its been put on so tight. bike still runs fine, is always garaged and kept under a shelter dry when at work.

is it bad?

Depends on what's causing the misting.

Might simply be the lower operating temperatures at this time of year which means the engine needs a longer run time or journey to burn off water condensate.

Prolly just condensation.

As for the filler cap being stuck, get some pliers and a cloth on that bastard.

yea i was gonna plier it but as its still got loadsa oil in i wasnt gonna bother till it needs some. i did wonder if it was tight due to pressure (linking to misting) but if its not bad ill leave it for now

Kaw's have a habit with the oil filler cap mysteriously tightening up since you last had the cap off. They've done it for decades.
As for the condensation, go for a ride that will get the engine up to decent temp & when you stop, pop that cap off for a while.

It's fine, my ZZR does this, as did the last one, as did the original motor in my current one.

Go for a good long blast and it'll evaporate.

They all do it this time of year, it'll go out the crank breather when you warm the motor properly
