Well I watched about 20 minutes of a programme and still can't understand it. Made In Chelsea. What is it all about?

Its supposed to be a fly on the wall fakish documentary about young rich people.

Strangely I know quite a few of them from the Skydive Spain (Seville) 2010 boogie.

The money however isn't fake, Spencer spent £15K at Seville in a 3 day weekend without batting an eye. IRL he isn't as much of a douche though.

Sort of this.

It's called "scripted reality".

Basically it's a soap involving more talentless people than usual. They are made out to be extremely rich, dislike poor people, and have stupid names (like Binky).

Obviously the great unwashed love this program.

The other part is TOWIE.

I cannot even bring myself to 'discuss'.

Why would you want to be associated with this sort of nonsense if you were normal?

Only ever seen the trailers for it, that was enough. Why would anyone want to watch a TV show about some ra-raas, with far too much time and money?

Be warned, there is worse shit out there.

Now there is a program where you watch people watching TV, gogglebox or something.

And yes, that is literally all it is. You watching TV of other people watching TV. And its getting rave reviews. Which should give you all the information you need as to why the world is in such a shit state.

It was on for 3 minutes last night that I caught it, and what I saw was so fake and contrived (people getting up and dancing in front of their TV to X-factor performances for instance) I can't see how anyone can take it seriously.

Luckily I whacked Alien 3 into the DVD player and redeemed my soul, but 'twas a close call.

Wellllll, depends if she likes TOWIE and X-Factor too. They're all aimed at women really, like the soaps tend to be. Women like gossipy-shite, Heat magazine, etc. People talking about people, not for me, but sometimes you've got to put up with it if the Mrs likes them!

I knew it was cheap to make.

It is why we have those inane 'competition' shows too. It costs fuk-all to make those shows, even with £100,000s in prizes, as they only need a handful of production staff and 'contestants' cost even less than the bill for feeding a cast of Acktores.

In broad strokes, it seems to be a way of getting people to act, badly, because it's cheaper than actually hiring actors, then excusing it because you didn't even give them a script and calling it a new genre.

Next they'll be scripting panel shows and Top Gear Laughing

Nought wrong with a script.

They put David Attenborough's shows on after all that 'Reality' jiz.
It makes a mockery of the English Language to call these drivelous wastes of time reality.

His last show he was discussing the worlds end and how humans will kill the planet if they do not protect it.

Meanwhile Binky is worrying that Nigel (who she knows was muffing Tinkerbell at Simon's house-party) was a bit 'off' with her because she went to Timmey's to see Angelica (who is jetting off to the Bahamas for a durty weekend with Jason).

Actually, I think I've come up with an invention based on Eastenders. A button in every room in the house, wired to every speaker in the house, which when pressed, plays the doof doofs.

Never actually dared to watch it, so objectionable do I find the adverts. Tbh it all makes perfect sense to me - Cameron gets in, next thing you know you've got shit like Downton and MiC. Someone somewhere said oh darling TV is so awfully drab what with all those dismal proles on every channel. Surely there must be a market for sloany aspirant types like you and I.
