Not only have I forgone the pleasure of two wheels for three months out here in Florida but I'm reduced to being ferried around in a blinged up tank that screams a love for Harley's!
What's a bloke to do? (Stickerbombing??) Confused

I had been thinking more along the lines of asking marmalade to make up a load of 'sucks' stickers.

See you've shed a few pounds and grown your hair long. Cool

I'm with Dr Donny, some Honda or maybe Mekong Auto decals would help alleviate the onset of ghey.

When in Rome.....

Go to the drive-thru, fill it with fast food wrappers. forget you know how to drive... or park.... get a machine gun, use the tail gate for target practice... then go shoot out some signs on the interstate; maybe car-jack a tourist or two; do over a convenience store and end the evening paying a lawyer to argue amendments & precedents.

Im in florida at the moment also, back monday Thumbs Down seen some right monstrosities of 'cars' the past two weeks. Smart cars and fiat 500s look like little toy lego cars next to the waves of GMC and Chevvy pick up things.

Also noticed everyone seems to ride harleys and not much else. Seen well over 100 in all manner of obscure and ugly shapes and sizes, with the stereotypical long bearded leather chap wearing guy with a sons of anarchy tshirt and tin pot helmet Laughing
https://i42.tinypic.com/5yxj77.jpg
Merchandised to the max also Rolling Eyes

Seen a couple of sports bikes, but all have chrome wheels and a stereotypical helmetless, white vested guy popping endless wheelies down the highway riding them Laughing No helmets looks like its set to be a thing of the past soon though

Brilliant weather aside the roads here are boring riding wise though, wouldnt dream of trading for our winding UK ones.

We took a Road-King around Hawaii and had a whale of a time doing it. For some reason they work in America. I think, partly, because the image doesn't go along with the bike. There's no try-hard "Harley, fuck yeah!" attitude, you just get on the thing and ride it as it was designed to be ridden (relaxed and slightly in awe of the self-cancelling indicators) and you just fit in.

Would I own one in Blighty? No. Would I ride one again in Merica? Assuredly so.

In the absence of decent bitters I'm reduced to bottled Newcastle Brown, but the local bar does do Guinness on tap Smile

There are more sports bikes here on the West coast than I expected.

Back to shite weather, tiny bending congested roads and high fuel costs monday, cant wait..

When in Rome, do as the Romans do. It means to blend in with the way of life where ever you are.

America's great...in small doses. I remember we were in Vegas* and some random guy started chatting to us and bought us all beers (about 8 of us - he wouldn't take no for an answer) - after about 30 mins of chatting he invited us up to his hotel room to look at his gun(!). We politely declined. Generous _and_ scary.
The worst thing about 'merica is the women's voices - at least 50% of them do a weird groany/gurgle at the end of every sentence and hang the last syllable out to emphasise this weird groany/gurgle - I think that they think it makes them sound sophisticated. It doesn't.

*I'm not basing my whole perception of the US on Vegas btw

Aaah gotcha, haven't heard that before.

I don't think I could last that long in America... just because they all annoy me

I spent six months in Houston TX twenty years ago. The was a stretch of road which was an S bend and not very severe one either. It had really knackered crash barriers all along it because the locals in their shitty metal whales couldent negotiate the bends.

Would be great to have a Triumph Speed Triple out in the states, pull up at the lights by some good-timer Harley riding cockmonkey and just show them what a proper bike looks like. Then fuck off into the distance.
