Bike = Honda CBR 600 F (1995)

Just had new chain & sprockets fitted, and new rear tyre.

Symptoms:
1st gear = fine
2nd gear = fine
3rd gear and above -> whenever I use the throttle, there is a really annoying noise. It is a relatively high pitched rattle / whirring noise. The noise is pretty constant. As soon as you ease off the throttle, so it is no longer applying drive, the noise stops. Difficult to pinpoint exactly where the noise is coming from.

Had cam chain tensioner work done within the last 6 months too.

Anyone got any ideas?

(Will probably be taking it back to the shop on Saturday)

Did you get this sorted?

I had the very same issue with the FZ6-s. Chain was just that little bit too loose.

Also check the retaining bolt on front sprocket, and the inside of the sprocket cover for wear.

Sound like the chain slider may have been left off. A plastic plate that sits between the chain and swing arm? It's there to stop you chain bouncing on your swing arm, up at the end near the rear shock?

Not sure about your model but the original fazer 600s and thundercat models had a common problem with wrecking their output shaft splines due to the fine threads and narrow retaining nut, jut pointing that out just incase your model has the same problems which if not attended to costs a bloody fortune to fix.
