So, not really a bike, but today. I bought this:

Needs a standard airbox on, but it did also come with a 2nd engine, and set of wets.

TKM Extreme, so 115cc and approximately 18bhp.

Once I sort out the seating position I will get some videos of it on track Thumbs Up

Hi

Cool. Many years ago a friend raced in the 100 UK class, which was an early version of the TKM class using the 100cc BT82.

I had a go in his kart once. In the wet. On slicks. That was fun

The TKM Extreme is still a BT82, cylinder is bored out, the head is also increased in capacity and has some modifications to it.

I also have a set of wets, and also have a spare 100cc BT82 that I may yet get converted to Extreme as a spare as the machining is quite straight forwards.

You should have some fun with it.

They're a bit dated now, but still good for around 75mph, which is OK when your arse is only a couple of inches off the deck Thumbs Up

The formula is quite dated yes, but still the best choice out there for people without unlimited budgets Laughing

In this area at least, there is really only 2 popular, 2stroke race classes.

TKM Extreme and Rotax Max.

Downside to Rotax Max is the rebuild costs as they're all sealed engines so no DIY servicing at all, and at ~£350 per time, then. No thanks, I will stick to the engine that has 5 bhp less but costs ~£150 to rebuild with piston, or £80 without

I used to race tkm.

Started in Cadets, then tkm, junior gearbox, then 125cc Gearbox.... then discovered girls and alcohol. Looks a decent bit of kit, what chassis is it?
