I think 90 / 95 is more like it.... but 100% & focused events do tend to be on the expensive side compared to some.

That's about right.

Lydden is pretty expensive because they're limited to a cerain number (50, I think) of days use a year.

I do quite like Lydden, is quite easy to learn, so you spend more time perfecting your technique than trying to work out what all the corners do. Good for spectators as well, as you can see 99% of the track from some points.

Because it's short the straights aren't too significant so it's quite physically intensive.

OK just looking at the online booking now, and the price for 22nd seems to be only £99.00 Very Happy

It says pick a time, and the time says 09:00 does that mean for the whole day though? how many sessions are there?

Who's definetly coming to this?

I need to get some 2 piece leathers before I can actually book this so bear with me but I hope to be a 100% for this date, if not then aug 14th!

Please let me know...

OK I've booked that day off from holiday and have looked into booking the actual track day.

Mum says she might pay for the day for my birthday Mr. Green

Just need to sort out some leathers and find out who else is coming?!!?

There are approx 12 novice places left. So a good few of us should be able to book up.

Please let me know if anyone is coming to this.

I've realised how close it is to Cadwell (I thought cadwell was this month) so I guess that rules out anyone that is planning on cadwell.

CraigT you still up for this? R6stu? smoto bob? anyone Laughing

I haven't been able to actually book on 22nd yet... I need to buy some leathers (£300) and crash bungs (£120) before I can book so 3rd july would be too soon unfortunately.

Also I've talked my mate into coming on his VFR400 and he convientiantly has 2 weeks holiday over the track day so can easily make it.

I'd of liked to go on the 3rd though but I'm not going to be ready in time Crying or Very sad

This is going to be very close for me Confused and I can't 100% guarantee I'll get booked in time... I can afford it, but I need to go buy some leathers and fit crash bungs etc before then, can't go get leathers till next weekend at earliest as I need to go to Cissbury for them..

But I'm working on it and if I don't make this I'm definetly going on aug 14th.

Although there are plenty of places @ lydden so I should get booked fine

I'd rather book myself mate "just incase"

Apparantly, my mum is going to pay for it, as it's my birthday a couple of days after lydden, so I think it's sorted, thanks for the offer though! If I do get stuck I'll take you up on it. Thumbs Up

By the way...

The plan is to meet on Portsdown hill, as the only people that are going are portsmouth/southampton way!

The circuit is 150 miles ish from portsdown hill I THINK. which is obviously going to take us an hour or two.

What's the possibilty of going up the night before and camping?

OR do we want to meet at 4/5AM and ride up?

I don't mind either to be honest... but I guess camping would be the more sane idea and would mean we shouldn't be tooooo tired for the actual track day!

Confirmed list is now:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

YamsR6 - novices
Loz VFR - novices (my mate who recently joined BCF)
Matty - novices (another mate.._
R6Stu - novices

We went and stayed in a nearby B&B the night before - I'm not sure there's anywhere to camp at Lydden.
