It no longer serves any useful function but it does serve a bad one. It's being abused to drive away good new members.

a) SPAM accounts can be deleted by the mods (or they should be given that power).

b) Karma-banned idiots simply re-register anyway.

c) Good new members are being karma-banned by abusers.

If I'm missing some useful purpose for it I'm happy to be informed.

Seriously, what's its point any more? Confused

it is easily abused.

virtually all of my down votes come from revenge voting from a person I've legitimately disagreed with. quite often not even in the same thread but old ones where they've just searched my posts and chosen a few at random to 'get back at me'.

it is rather petty.

to be fair though I don't think too much about it.

And your second comment is nonsensical, the only purpose the mods serve currently is to move threads to more appropriate sections when they're in the wrong one, remove spam accounts and revoke bogus ratings.

The problem with the blobs, on the other hand, is if you lose enough of them posting becomes a pain in the ass and there are more ads.

They're entirely pointless and are used solely now by a small gang of filth to chase off legitimate new members. Simply because it amuses their sick degenerate selves.

So what about removing downvoting, and allow upvoting only?

Removing Karma system, means that 3 people alone have the ability to ban people?

Additionally, just because 3 or 4 members are abusing something, does that mean it should be banned from everybody? A small population ruining for the majority? Is that what you now support Hetzer?
