Hello all.
New to the forum as I am in need of help.
I have just bought a 2007 Honda S Wing 125cc. 30,000 miles.
The problem I am having is the bike is cutting out at traffic lights and when I come to a stop.
The bike starts easily on the button and accelerates and pulls well when moving but seems to be missing sparks or starving of fuel at tick over leading to a rough idle and instant or sometimes delayed stalling.
Bike will fire up again on button after it has stalled.
Air Filter looks good. New Spark plug, Battery, oil and fresh fuel. bike has full Honda service history regular at 2,500 miles.
Any ideas or preferably someone who has encountered same problem
all help will be appreciated.
Many Thanks, Nathan.

Check the wiring near the ecu. Had this problem on a friends s wing. Check for any shafted wiring, melted wires etc

Thanks a lot cb1rocket .

I've found it, on throttle body big connector with many wires. I unplugged it and sprayed it in and and out with wd40. No cables seemed to be damaged or rotten.

I cleaned yesterday every single connector that I've found, there was some oxidation on relays, some connectors, oxidation on earth cable as well. Tried to get rid of it.

I try to start it up today and see how it runs.
It is a pain in the a.. to take down the plastics on the s-wing.

Yes, I will use the contact cleaner as well afterwards, as wd40 will build up a dirt layer after time..
Thumbs Up
Very Happy

Forgot to mention that after that I've cleaned everything again with contact cleaner and let it dry.

Then i touched the ignition and fling! started like new. No more idle problems.
Yeah!

I was riding whole summer till november without any problems.
My scoot is nice and quietly waiting for next warm days to change oil and ready for another year!

My experience with the Honda S-wing (FES) is slightly different, but is worth to mention.

Many problems like stopping at idle or serious trouble to start up, specially with cold/wet weather.

Checked all electric, battery, spark plug and cable, main relay etc...
Checked and cleaned the air filter and its box.
Only left the throttle body connection underneath the luggage box.

Before proceding to the thorttle body work (seat + luggage box to be removed) and as I was in maintanence mood, I decided to buy a new air filter, to my surprise all problems sorted, starts perfectly and doesn't stop at idle even in cold weather. Apparently needs the filter box to help also the two breather tubes.

The honda is different to my previous bike, the Honda needs new filter the previous bike only needed some filter suction cleaning with a vacuum cleaner.
