PostPosted: 15:03 - 14 Nov 2013    Post subject: Xmas jumpers Reply with quote

We're having an end of year festive meal out with our office next month, and it's also 'christmas jumper' day where we should wear the cringiest knitwear we have.

Being a red-sea pedestrian, I have none and have been given none over the years. So I've got this cheap on ebay as a laugh:

https://i.ebayimg.com/t/JUMPER-SNOWFLAKE-XMAS-REINDEER-FAIRISLE-BIRD-RUDE-SNOWMAN-SWEATER-S-M-L-XL-XXL-/00/s/MjgwWDIzNg==/$(KGrHqF,!g0FBlm8tFMsBQsLjNWmTw~~60_35.JPG

We'll see how it goes down Mr. Green Bear in mind, my office has 35 women and just 5 of us guys Thumbs Up I like these odds.

Anyone else got similar?

I dislike all forms of 'fancy dress'. Essentially it's someone telling me to waste my money on crap to fit in.

The missus generally gets me something decent I can wear all year(ish). A cashmere mix or a chunky type depending on her mood.

Highly on topic: the latest South Park episode with the red heifer is rather relevant to all this, funnily enough.

Depends. Is it fancy dress? If so, I'm probably at home in my boxers.

THIS. tomorrow is children in red noses or something... However, it is meant to be turn up at work in your pyjamas... Yeah right. But they tell me its for charidee. "How can we engage you?" Somebody said to me the other day, I replied kindly "by not forcing your ideologies down my throat as if I did the same to you I would probably offend you as I do not have the belief in these charities that you do" they soon scuttled off back to the rock that they came from under.

I don't feel the need to try and fit in, in these ways best thing they can do is leave me to my own devices.

Lovin' your work. Nothing says Merry Christmas like some good old fashioned animal porn.
Let's be honest, you know Joseph was getting jiggy with the donkey in that stable while waiting for Mary to squeeze the lil fella out.
So on this basis, the jumper is an abstract representation of historical events. And black goes with you hair Smile

........please tell me Santa Clause is on the back of the jumper with en elf.

This is the Slayer one:

from the band that did this...

I'm with you there. Especially around autumn people seem to think every party has to have a fancy dress theme and it's never something that's already in the wardrobe. Last year I had EIGHT social occasions all within a week of each other where I was expected to fork out, what, £30 an outfit? Sod that. I went in jeans.

I look down upon anyone with a Christmas jumper, I don't feel that anyone who actively chooses to buy and wear one can be classed as real people.

Like people who jump off bridges but take their car keys with them and leave their car parked awkwardly, keys get smashed and then it takes ages to get the car recovered, and you end up with road closures or blocks, other people have shit to do, we don't have time for your shit
