If yours is anything like the stock screen on my ZX6 i'd definately go DB, made a huge difference on mine wind-wise.

Depends on the bike, some double bubble's send the airflow straight into your helmet, so the buffeting increases.

I'd go double bubble personally.

Double bubble makes it easy to go fast.

Whether that's a good thing is another matter.

Dipped behind a double bubble and ear plugs felt slower at 140mph than 85mph on a KLR650.
The police weren't so impressed.

If it's on in your avatar, it looks more like a flip-up, rather than having an extra 'bubble'. Hard to tell from that size, of course.
Obviously they make more difference on bikes with smaller screens.
Sports bikes around 95-03 seem to benefit the most, with newer ones getting so compact that there's less space to add the extra bubble too.
While older bikes than that tended to have fairly big screens anyway.

Ah, ok; does look like a 'double bubble' then, just that the standard screen is already pretty upright, so it's not going to make that much difference.

A flip up one might make more sense there.

Incidentally for people considering them - get it in clear.
No point having a big screen you can't get behind because you can't see through it!
(Ok, I did once use a piece of carpet for a screen on track, but that was all I had!)

I've got a 7R, and double bubble is the way to go. I've had 3 7rs before I bought my current one and all had DB screens when I purchased them. This one came with the original screen, and it's useless.

I got a light tint DB screen off eBay from China, think it was £15 delivered for a new one and it's worth every penny (and the month long wait Confused )

So far it looks like, the DB's gonna be the one. My mate contacted one seller in germany, so will see. 15 pounds for regular and 25 for the DB, both include shipping.

The screens of sportbikes used to be so much bigger and taller back in the '90s

https://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv23/WiNot_Rhencullen/Biking%20Abroad/BikesBikesBikes027.jpg

But back then I added an extra sheet of clear A4 sized plastic to the top of the standard screen on my Exup, whereas my brother kept the screen on his GSXR110H as standard. The ZXR750 in the foreground is a worthy comparison.

But I could not easily ride the R1 with a standard screen as for my size the original is far too low.The sport screen makes sufficient differance to make it worthwhile
