I have no spark on my bike. I am using it for off road only. in the picture shows the setup of my stator. all the replacement parts I have looked at has the stator inside the flywheel, I have not come across any pictures that has a setup like mine. stator on the outside!
I have done a test on the stator with a multi meter on ohms for resistance and is only reading .2 where I know it should be around .280 also when I kick it over I get very little reading on volts compered to on my cr80 I get around 40 volts. which indicates to me it is knacked.
can anyone explain to me why my stator is on the outside or where I can get a replacement one?
I am thinking that the setup I keep seeing is for when the bike is being used on road??
also the stator only has 2 wires that run to the cdi box (1 splits into 2 for the 3 connections on the cdi) then cdi goes straight to spark plug. would this setup work ok?

any advice would be most helpful to get my head round this situation!
