Carefully wiggle a fine screwdriver between the grip and bar as far as you can without forcing it. Insert the straw of a can of WD40 alongside it in the resulting gap and give it a squirt. Advance the screwdriver further and add more WD40. Keep going until you're all the way through.
Remove the screwdriver and straw, twist the grips back and forth and they should pull off. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”

Just be careful with them on the YBR the battery is not very strong, i forgot to turn mine off my old YBR and it drained the battery in 20min. My problem was not taking the normal ones off, its putting the heated grip on (oxford) on the throttle side which can be a pain. The inner diameter of the grips was too small to fit over that white plastic twist grip due to the grooves on the surface. In the end i had to use a stanley blade to smooth the surface of twist grip assembly so the grips could go over. I also glued them for good measure . |
