Hi everyone.

Im looking for some advice on installing aftermarket indicators to my honda hornet F2.

I have bought smaller indicators from standard (not LED) and need to check the wiring. The wire i have on the bike are green and blue and on the new indicators are grey and black.

Is it just suck it and see, trail an error or does anyone think this is likely to blow a fuse/relay/bulb etc??

Any help would be great.

Thanks in advance....

id go green - black, blue to grey

but if the indicators are plastic bodied/are not earthed directly to the bike im pretty sure it really shouldnt matter Smile

It doesn't actually matter which way round you wire up a bulb, the filament will light just the same either way round.

LED's on the other hand are more polarity sensitive.

This^^

I've just replaced some naff aftermarket indicators on my Monster with some nicer Bike-it indicators and they used green as the earth side connection as well. But as both previous posters have said, if the stems are plastic and therefore isolate the lampholders, it really doesn't matter which way you choose to wire them.
