Spaz question alert, new to bikes so excuse the daft question.

I replaced the rear wheel bearings in my Bandit 400 as they felt rough but the kit only came with the two bearings for the wheel and not for the sprocket carrier. This bearing feels slightly rough but I assumed as it doesn't take as much load as the wheel bearings then it wouldn't be too much of an issue.

Am I right to leave it or would I be best to get it swapped out before I start riding the thing? I'm in no rush to ride it as I've not passed my test yet but it's been laid up for over five years so it's had pretty much everything and I want it right before it's on the road.

THX BCF!

Just take off the sprocket carrier and test the bearings with your fingers. If they feel rough or as if they are binding change them. Simply bearings are one of the cheapest, decent quality, places I know. Bearing boys were ok but took ages to deliver.

EDIT:
Yeah I read it properly this time Wink. Since they feel rough change them. They take a fair bit of load and transfer it to the wheel. They do collapse if not maintained.

Should all be done at the same time ideally but that will depend one how rough it feels
