Thinking about getting a CRF 250L but are neoprene gaiters the only option for USD forks?

Why would you need gaiters unless you are trying to hide fucked fork seals?

Why would be neoprene gaiters be an issue?

Hmm. I'd just get regular gaiters, slit them at the tight end just enough to be able to pull them over the fork bottoms, and then mend and make do with cable ties as necessary. But I'm a bit gyppo that way.

I ride year round and find the salt causes the forks to pit even after applying acf so I use gaiters. I just prefer the look of the rubber gaiters.

Sounds like a good plan! Thanks for the idea, I am going to wait a year or so for better second hand prices before I buy unless a tempting deal comes up.
