Prices will rise in Feb 2014.

However, have they bollocked things up?
Take a look at this letter and see if they are lying about something.

Got mine, £4.50 increase but 150mb so not overly fussed.

Might drop package down to around 60 and scrap the tv.

I'm currently on a cheapo package. 30mb, L tv and some phone thing that we dont use. All for £45.

But the bit that I am wondering about is this.
It suggests to me that BT Sport is now included as standard....

Or they've bought the rights to use that on their TV packages, but likely you'll need the sports one. That's how I see it cos I get fuck all on my TV Laughing

I'm taking part in the special olympics on the VM forum about the reasons behind the price rise.

Feel free to chime in Very Happy

I'm pretty close to dropping them. "On Demand" spits "Too much demand in your area" more often than not. Cable speeds are OK, but I don't actually use that much bandwidth. My XL tv is mostly for the kids' stuff, which they don't really watch much anyway, and a bit of suffering will built character.

Might be time for a switch to Sky. After all, a change is as good as a rest, even when it comes to wallet raping.

We have downgraded since hearing about this. Went from £90 p/m to around £50. I really didn't need the 100meg Internet and don't miss the channels we've lost.

That's BT, not Virgin Media.

That's not how it looks to me. It says that there are only three new channels included as standard in the package - Nat Geo, Fox and Fox+1.

It lists the sports channels as 'also available', not 'included'.

I am in the same camp at the moment, just priced up sky + 40mb bb and it came to about 45 quid a month with a £15 one-off fee.

Also, they have a special offer for v1rgin m3dia customers slapped all over their website.

Problem is, here I can't have a disk, I also can't get ADSL. Sad

When I move out, I'll be slightly better off so the additional Virgin arse rape won't matter too much, but it is fast becoming a joke. I started off nearly £40 for 100meg, M TV and a phoneline.

I now have 120mb, L TV and no real phone line and I'm on £64 Laughing

Build some more character and have no Sky at all or even no TV at all. They might have to read books though, shocking child abuse that it is Mr. Green

I have no TV other than the freeview stuff but I pay for the 100mb and the phone line. I rarely get above 80mbps and even then streaming video is stuttery... I may have to change providers as well. All I want is fast, unlimited, broadband. I couldn't give a monkeys about anything else.

20 odd quid a month here, no tv shit, i cant understand why any one would pay for "pay tv"
read a book or go on wikipedia, or work on your bike, or down load any tv shows you want,
this day and age there isnt any need to pay for tv (im excluding bbc here, as i think you probably still have to pay their license fees on top of pay tv any way)

It's great to flick through TV channels when you're bored, there's always something on. I would never have heard of probably 75% of the programs I love most (and now have on DVD) if I didn't have all the channels I do. Same reason I wouldn't go to BT cos of the weird way they have programs but not channels.

I have BT Sport 1 and 2 (inc HD) in my VM package and don't pay for it at the moment. Mind you I don't watch it either! I think we have the XL tv package, I don't have any premium channels but I already have the Fox ones too.

I still haven't forgiven them for taking Scuzz away from me though Sad
