Just bought this as an early Christmas present. Down from it's normal price of £279.99 and cheapest I can find it online anywhere else is 179.99 from some German site.

Considering it's normal RRP and this glowing review on Visordown, went for it. Since it's only on offer for a little while, thought I'd let BCF know.

Still rather expensive, and easily the most expensive biking gear I've ever bought, but I only own a leather jacket and despise being cold and wet all the time.

Unfortunately, only the white/grey one is on sale. The discount code LIKEFS should work to give you a further 10%.

If anyone has any experience of the jacket/Held gear in general, please share.

There is a removable storm collar to keep driving rain out.

Interested to know how good that is I haven't seen them before - my rainsuits collar has a tendancy to become quite uncomfortable in windy weather if it gets out of position.https://www.getgeared.co.uk/held_uncover_jacker_6121_68_front_vis_panels_pu.jpg

I've had two Hein Gericke jackets with the 'storm Collar'.
Removed after first outing as they prevent life savers and are just tooooo fcuking much stuff shoved up into your neck.
You cannot wear a storm collar aAND have a helmet chin strap done up. Shocked

If you are one of those Keen-ies who wears open face then perhaps they work.

Cheers, will stick with the suit for now.

Similar problem to be honest as it scuffs my neck and gets bloody uncomfortable doing lifesavers, but it is still useable at least.

I've got one of those collars on my RST jacket and it's spent more time removed from the jacket then being used. Good when raining out and keeps the neck sock dry but a little too cumbersome to just leave on for day to day winter use.

Got the jacket today.

First impressions, incredibly heavy and warm. Looks like a serious bit of kit.

Unfortunately, it needs to go back because the one they've sent out to me has a few stains on it and I'm not paying for used goods.

Also, medium was too small for me, so gonna be a large now. They still have 1 medium in stock apparently, so might be worth calling up and seeing if you can wangle one at the reduced rate.

So far, not particularly impressed with GetGeared, wasn't offered a discount for having been sent out a dirty jacket, but the girl on the phone was extremely apologetic. Tried to get them to swap it for a Black one instead, no go there.

Looks like a comfy jacket. But too much for me, methinks.

I use a fairly generic Lewis Leather jacket with a little bit of thermal lining and then a Mac-in-a-sac from Mountain Warehouse over the top. And I use a buff to stop wind down my bra.
100% warmth. No wind leakage at all. I don't get cold in the slightest. And at a fraction of the price.
