Feel free to laugh at my general numptiness.

It must be me, I must have some special needs abnormality, but no matter what I do I cannot properly adjust my mirrors on my CRF250L.

Some twiddly bolts, a bit that screws in, a bit that screws into the bit that screws in, some of it right handed and some if left handed

I can get the mirror tightened up and all in the wrong place, or get it in the right place and far to loose so it starts flapping about again.

My brain hurts. Crying or Very sad

I too have stood at the side of the road for far too long, with two spanners in hand, after clipping a mirror against the side of a van or somesuch, trying to figure out how the thing works. I must be mechanically dyslexic!

What helped me was to remember that one of the nuts is a lock nut (there to keep the other from moving) and the other nut does the actual work. Once I got that in my head, it was easier to figure out. Loosen the lock nut, then the bottom ("real") nut, adjust the mirror, then tighten the "real" nut and then the lock nut. At least I think that's how I did it. Dyslexic, remember. It's not my fault.

Those double nut mirrors are horrible. I took the left one off my hornet because I couldn't get it to line up after I dropped my bike.

I carry one of these in my jacket pocket. I should note that I didn't buy it, some tool at work ordered it by accident, thinking it was bigger. It's much more useful than it looks!

Tighten everything up to the point where it is tight enough to hold, but can still be moved.
