Thats a fair point, but i'm sure there will be people who want to play it offline or over their LAN. ISDN is great for gaming but thats only 64/128k so downloading half a gig would take a loong time!

I'm sure many are just having trouble finding a download source, from what i saw its slow and instable. I just thought i would try and help.

I've just downloaded it - installed ok but trouble is when I start the game I get the splash screen then it just exits to the desktop... any ideas?

either you need the No-CD crack, your copy is fucked, your graphics drivers are not up to date or are non existant, your direct X isnt up to date, your media player settings are incorrect, you dont have the correct codec or it is trying to run in a resolution/colour mode which your monitor doesnt support.

run it from the launcher program, set up the graphics settings and try again.

often racing games like moto gp,superbikes piss about like this on XP OS! what u may need to do is this

-find the EXE file ''motogp2''(i think)
-right click
-properties
-compatibility

in the compatibility menu u will see a part that says ''run this program in compatibility mode for''

below u will see a list of OS's, choose run in 'WINDOWS 1998', RESTART YOUR MACHINE and see if that helps!

so what file exactly are you running and what exactly happens?
what screens do you see? what noises do you hear? what graphics card have you got?

I open the launcher, click play game. I then get the white screen with all the credits and stuff on and the BINK video logo in the bottom left corner. That then fades away and it just exits to the desktop.

Athlon 2500+ XP Barton chip
512Mb PC2700 Crucial RAM
GeForce FX 5200 128Mb

That spec should run it surely???

I found my Radeon 9600 pro (or motherboard, obviously) doesn't like AGP8x. The computer used to crash or restart sporadically with no errors. Works perfectly on 4x and as it's not a high-end card I'm sure there's not much speed penalty.

pop in the CD, copy the folder to your hard drive, run launcher.exe (make a shortcut to it on your desktop). click play game. if you have any trouble run launcher and click configure and fiddle with some of the settings.

i do all the above mate and i get into the game, just as i go to start a race it goes back to desktop and says ''CD NOT PRESENT, need cd to continue, moto gp2 will now exit''
