This is my third one now. Bought the original on launch, rrod, bought another that lasted till 2008 rrod bought the current one. Was fine till this year, gave me disc unreadable error swapped the FIFA for another, did it again, installed on hdd it ran fine till today, disc unreadable.

Try gta disc unreadable, half way through gta so I'm a bit miffed as it keeps killing discs. Should I completly sack it off and never finish gta buy a newer slim Xbox 360 or buy a ps3. My plan was to finish gta, buy FIFA 14 and wait till after Christmas and get a ps4.

Get a preowned one and buy a warranty - last time mine packed up i got one at Game with a 3 year one for i think it was 30 quid, replaced twice since relatively hassle free, managed to even get the warranty renewed on the first occasion.

Both the PS4 and the Xbox One are having teething problems.

I would wait for atleast 6months before considering buying either of them.

In the mean time, but a cheapo 360 from scumtree, fleabay or smack converters.

DIpshit here posted in wrongforum. I blame the HTC phone. Got a newer one from smack converters. Seems to be working. Defo going for the ps4. Three fecked Xbox 360's has put me off

only had 1 xbox 360 fail, still have 2 at home, a slim and an older modded one.

I'd wait a fair while to get either of the new consoles, both have pretty bad issues at the moment, personally going the PC road this time as my pc could do with an upgrade anyway so makes sense to put the money into a single machine plus the other positives of no subscription online and much cheaper games
