Relay could be on its way out (most likely), or could be a low voltage issue. However if the rest of the lighiting is fine and you're not getting flat battery issues i'd not worry too much and just swap the relay.
The jerk you describe, could be carburation, however i'd be inclined to check chain tension. If the chain is massively slack it wont be engaging the gears propperly - my H100 usually gives a little jolt after a few seconds of being in said gear as it flicks in, my YBR used to just catapult itself into neutral.
Swap the relay & check the chain tension. Can't give you specs on required relay without a model year unfourtunately.
