Reserved one. Will collect tomorrow
TBH if the box is decent, it'll be worth it just for that.

I fell for it once and spent the next few years replacing ratchets that didn't ratchet and sockets that splayed with only moderate usage.

The allen keys will be too short and the box will be as crap as the rest of the tools in it.

Do yourselves a favour and forget about buying cheap tat such as the items linked to.
I acknowledge that not everyone can go and purchase a full chest of Snap-On/Draper/Facom etc quality tools in one go but throwing good money away on spurious items will not lead to inner peace.

Looks to me as if the box and drawers are metal but the
contoured/shaped inlays holding the tools are plastic.
Seen some where this inlay was simlar in strength to what you'd get
in a chocolate box !
Better than nothng I suppose, esp if you're on a tight budget.
The sockets do look like 6 point which are less prone to round off yer nuts if not up to standard.

Think most people will be buying this because it's £20, rather than a tool box.
Lets face it, not one tool in that box will be substantial, let alone adequate.

It's just the fact that it's now in a half price sale, at £20, people will just spend that money on it, for the sake of it. Laughing

I've spent more on 1 socket in the past. I'm out.

Good find. Sure the qualities not great but at that price for the odd beginner maintenance should be useful, and the box isn't half bad for 20 in itself Thumbs Up

They've got it up to '150 pieces' by chucking in a load of tat from a christmas cracker, are the cable ties counted individually? Laughing

A fool and their money...

I've gone fairly cheap with all of mine and haven't had problems to date - but thats over a few years doing basic maintenance, so i guess if they're put under more regular and thorough useage it might be a totally different scenario.

Even torque wrenches i went on the lower end of the price range and have used a fair bit and had them checked for calibration and they're fine apparently - maybe i'm just lucky though.

Out of interest, what are the ones that often become most problematic with cheap tools for those that have ditched them for the more expensive options

Probably the fuses as well.

I have used some cheap tools and have had problems. Cheap allen keys round off. Spanners round off heads on bolts. Ratchets break. But it depends on how cheap. The tool box that lives in the car has fairly cheap tools in it, but then I am not expecting to do anything too hard with them, and if I leave one somewhere it isn't the end of the world.

All the best

Keith
