Which bike after DAS?

I've been wondering for a while now which bike to get after I do DAS. I was thinking SV650S or Fazer 600, but I really like the look of full sports.

I've been reading a little about the NC35. Is it a good bike to go for? I've heard it's one of the nippiest 400's.

Well what are you going to be using it for? What's your experience of bikes, and of being on the road?

I'll be using it for all travel: commuting, weekends, everything. That's why I originally thought of the SV. I've been riding for about 2 months, but having that accident has taken me back a little. I'm starting to gain my confidence again though.

I'm after something sporty-ish, but one I won't have too many problems with and can use at any time.

How about a Kawasaki GPZ500, reasonably sporty, cheap to insure and economical.

Just a thought.

I wouldnt have a newer cbr there are the older say 95 versions or a bandit or a hornet.

I bought a 02 Fazer after passing my DAS - its great fun - a lot more revvy that the CB500 I learnt on, but you get used to it.

Its a nice bike to ride - forgiving, brakes are good, acceleration is outstanding (well I am used to a 1.4 astra)

Insurance is a real pain though - £1000 (one accident a year ago on a scooter - so no NCB age 32 and no garage)

Still its worth it
